Manish Zinzuvadia, MD

Dr. Zinzuvadia is the founder and director of Park Avenue Wellness Center and is board certified in both Adult and Geriatric psychiatry.   He directs the psychiatric services of several long term care and residential treatment facilities while also managing a comprehensive outpatient practice in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. 

He received his M.D. from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and completed his residency training in psychiatry at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He completed fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College.  He is on the voluntary faculty as a Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry with the Departments of Psychiatry and Geriatric Medicine where he teaches and supervises residents and fellows.

He has implemented programs using long acting antipsychotic injectables to decrease hospital readmission rates for treatment resistant schizophrenic patients in Brooklyn, NY.  He has a particular expertise in treating elderly patients both in the office setting and in home visits.  He has been able to work with families to keep patients stable and at home instead of being placed into nursing facilities.
Dr. Zinzuvadia’s research interests include the use of long acting antipsychotics in treatment resistant schizophrenic patients, cognitive dysfunction and treatment resistant depression in older adults, novel psychopharmacological agents, and the use of technological interventions to increase access to quality psychiatric care while helping to predict the onset of psychiatric symptoms and assisting in outpatient treatment of mood disorders.
